RESTORE:
Our most restful class on the schedule. This classical restorative yoga is passive (not active), where we stay seated or lying down the entire time. Shapes are fully propped with bolsters and blankets, so that your body and mind can get into rest and digest mode and recalibrate the nervous system. Postures are held for 8-10 min each and this class is especially designed for those recovering from illness or injury. All bodies and mobility levels are welcome here. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees. Sundays at 9am. 90 minutes. |
BREATHWORK
+ MEDITATION: This brand new class with Tara Olivera explores Pranayama--the breathwork that connect us to the most basic Source of energy in our body-mind. This is a class separate from movement and postures (Asana). We will mainly stay seated or lying down in the practice of Pranayama, which allows us to tune into our life-force and extend it as a natural result of harnessing the breath with mindful awareness. Week-by-week we will explore exercises like Holotropic breathwork, Anuloma Viloma, Brahmari breath, and more! Guided meditation practices vary weekly. No prior experience needed! YOGA THERAPY
Movement + Meditation: Join Erin Alexander, CIAYT in an exploration of yoga as an ancient therapeutic practice. This class is designed to support practitioners in finding inner peace and a deepened Divine connection. Together we'll explore a variety of therapeutic practices including postures (both stretching and strengthening), breathing techniques, mudra and mantra designed to support you in experiencing hope and healing on every level of your being. Class includes a brief teaching from the yoga tradition, accessible movement and guided meditation. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees. Tuesday at 6:30pm. |
GENTLE (Yin):
Yin is a practice all about finding the balanced center in body, breath, and mind. This meditative class stays mostly seated or lying down, holding postures for 3-5 min each. Props are utilized to release the connective tissues; especially encouraging mobility in the hips, pelvis, and low back. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees. Monday and Wednesday at 5pm. Tuesday and Thursday at 9am. Thursday at 6:30pm. |
QIGONG:
This 60 min Wellness Collective class complements the energetic work of a yoga practice with movement and breath that is slowly paced and mindful. This class is entirely standing, or supported by a chair as needed. No mat or other props are used. Open to all ages and mobility levels. **class size is limited** please pre-register online. CHAIR:
This class is designed to increase range of motion, improve stability and balance, bring awareness to posture, and strengthen breath function, all while supported by a chair. Class includes seated warm up and standing balance postures. Designed to be gentle for aging well, building strength and stamina over time, and is ideal for bodies that need a little TLC. PRENATAL:
Prenatal yoga adapts to meet your ever changing body-mind experience. Built for expecting persons, and those postpartum, you'll learn movement, breath, and modifications that will help you integrate into any yoga class, with sequencing for a healthy pelvic floor and spine. BEGINNER:
This fundamental class teaches the basics of yoga, focusing on alignment in postures and confidence with props. You can expect mindful breathing and movement, building to standing balance work and ending with a resting pose lying down on the floor. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees. Saturdays at 11am. |
SLOW FLOW:
Vinyasa is breath connected with movement, with Sun Salutations and sequences that get up and down off the floor at a pace that is steady. This class flows like water and builds warmth gradually. Movement is connected and intentional with lots of options available. This class does not include arm balances. Slow Flow winds down into deep stretches before savasana. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees. Tuesday and Thursday at 6am. Monday at 6:30pm. Saturday at 9am. |
POWER FLOW:
Our most energetic class on the schedule. Feel empowered and strong building a sense of fire in the body and breath! Vinyasa is breath connected with movement that flows smoothly from one posture to the next. You can expect dancelike movement and athletic transitions that build vigorously and allow for play with optional inversions and arm balances. This class is fast-paced and continuously moving with Sun Salutations, chaturanga sequences (yoga push ups), and core work included. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9am. Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm. Wednesday at 6:30pm. |
PILATES:
This 45 min Wellness Collective class is movement that can compliment a yoga practice. This class is entirely on the mat - props will be used, but no additional Pilates reformer equipment. Pilates is low impact body conditioning that will help strengthen and lengthen your muscles. It emphasizes strengthening the core and is great for improved posture, stability, mobility, and mental focus. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.
