​This fundamental class teaches the basics, focusing on alignment and confidence with props. You can expect mindful breathing and movement, building to standing postures and ending with a resting pose lying down on the floor. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

Our early-morning practice is strong and invigorating, offering a smooth sequence of dynamic movement in coordination with breath. You’ll feel challenged, clear-minded, and ready to face the day. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

This class is strong and steady, moving at a slow pace that allows you to stay in postures and breathe deeply for an extended period of time. Align is an Iyengar style class for all levels, using lots of props and focusing on quality over quantity so that you can build strength, stamina, and flexibility. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

​Meditation is the practice of focusing the mind. This all-levels class begins with breath awareness and gentle movements, emphasizing the inner experience. Meditation exercises are introductory and guided, so your body can relax deeply, while the mind is kept alert and occupied with mindful visualizations. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

​This class is designed to increase range of motion, improve stability and balance, bring awareness to posture, and strengthen breath function, all while supported by a chair. Designed to be gentle for aging well, recovering from injury, or bodies that need a little TLC.

This class is all about balance in body, breath, and mind. Connecting with the core, you’ll build strength and stability through poses intelligently sequenced from the ground up. Balance work in standing postures, optional inversions, and breath included. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

90 min. 
A classical restorative yoga that is passive (not active), where we stay seated or lying down. Shapes are fully propped with bolsters and blankets, so that your body and mind can get into rest and digest mode and recalibrate the nervous system. Postures are held for 5+ min each. 
Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

​Vinyasa offers flowing movement in coordination with breath. This upbeat and playful style of yoga offers dance-like rhythm, allowing you to let go and move! The transitions between poses are vigorous and athletic, with sequencing that builds to a peak before settling on the floor to unwind. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

These in-depth sessions are unique and offered one-time only or as a specialty series. Workshops focus on a specific topic, and deep dive into a practice that is more involved than a standard posture class (sometimes involving writing and lecture, additional interests like essential oils or sound meditations with crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, and chimes.)

This Yin class focuses on intentional movements, with mainly floor postures (seated or lying down) held for 3-5 min each. Postures utilize lots of props to stretch deeper and release the connective tissues; especially encouraging mobility in the hips, pelvis, and low back. Room is a comfortable 72 degrees.

Our studio brings together decades-long practitioners and new students alike. We believe Yoga is beneficial for every body and will make sure you find the right classes to support your yoga journey. New to yoga or not, you are very welcome here. 

In January 2023 we became Santosha Yoga Collective. We are welcoming a new chapter of community connection and continuing education with new owner Stephanie Alston and the same core team of teachers and classes you have come to know and love. Our aim is to provide a welcoming space of contentment for students and teachers of yoga all throughout Placer County. We are thrilled to honor everything this studio has been founded on and increase visibility for yoga and the town of Loomis for many years to come.
